COACHING FOR STUDENTS
AND FAMILIES
The Compassionate
Heart of CANOPY
The core philosophy of CANOPY's Coaching for Students and Families is the belief that healthy, sustained growth is a continuous journey of self-exploration and empowerment that begins wherever students and families currently are.
CANOPY's unique
project-based coaching
approach means that we work together to strategize daily solutions for specific, targeted growth in a particular area. After each project achieves an agreed-upon outcome, we can then either complete our work together or move onto another project supporting holistic growth.
From daily strategies toward mental wellness, neuroinclusion, and individuality within diversity—to navigating the complex landscape of academic support and accommodations, CANOPY is your steadfast companion on the path to student and family success and effectiveness.
CANOPY works with students of all ages but specializes in middle, high school, and college levels.
- Student and Family Success and
Parent Coaching
Drawing on expertise gained from a fulfilling educational career of teaching and school leadership, CANOPY's specialties in working with students—and supporting their families—include gifted and twice exceptional learners and asynchronous childhood development. In addition, CANOPY also specializes in working with students with learning differences, neurodivergence, and mental wellness challenges, and frankly, any student who struggles to succeed in a traditional classroom.
- Neurodivergence Navigation, Support, and Disability Advocacy
With an emphasis on understanding and embracing diverse ways of thinking, CANOPY provides tools and insights to help neurodivergent students and students with disabilities thrive personally and in an academic setting. Specialties include working with ADHD, Autism, and other forms of neurodivergence.
- Personalized Mental and Behavioral
Wellness Strategies
While CANOPY's services do not include clinical therapy, I tailor guidance and support for each student's mental health needs, helping families build resilience, improve compensating skills, and maintain overall wellbeing and effective dynamics. Specialties include working with Depression, Anxiety, OCD, and PTSD/CPTSD.
- LGBTQ+ Youth Empowerment and Advocacy
Celebrating identity and self-expression, CANOPY offers a safe, affirming space to explore personal challenges and sense of healthy identity, strengthen confidence, and embrace authenticity.
Located on Massachusetts's North Shore, just north of Boston, CANOPY Coaching and Consulting provides both local in-person and remote Zoom-based services.
